The holy Path of the Masters (Sant Mat) offers
a direct conscious contact with the Divinity within
after rising above body-consciousness.
This sublime principle differentiates the holy Path
from all other schools of thought.
— Sant Kirpal Singh
This highest teaching always remained one and the same, and therefore it was taught with one opinion by all competent Masters, whether they came in the East or West, at different places and at different times. And the same one opinion exists in the Holy Scriptures as well. In His book “Naam or Word”, Sant Kirpal Singh illustrated this by providing numerous quotations from many Saints and Holy Scriptures.
This teaching is known by various names, such as Para Vidya (Knowledge of the Beyond), Sant Mat (Path of the Masters) or Surat Shabd Yoga (Yoga or connection of Surat — our attention or soul — with Shabd — the Light and Sound Current, also called Naam or Word, Shabd, Kalma, etc.).
“Stripped of all its outer encrustations, Spirituality
emerges as a science, as scientific as any other,
as verifiable in its results.
Let any seeker take it up and let him create in the
laboratory of the soul the conditions that are
prerequisite; as sure as the day follows the night
shall he rise into the Kingdom of God.”
— Sant Kirpal Singh
Sant Kirpal Singh came to revive this universal teaching as a regular science so it can be easily understood by everybody, and He also gave the practical experience (of the inner Light and Sound) to all who yearned for it.
