Physical Departure of Dr. Harbhajan Singh

Talk by Surinder Kaur in July 1996, St.Gilgen (translated from Punjabi)

“You should not love the physical body
made of matter but the ever-existing soul
which is dyed in the colour of Master
and will be with you forever.”
— Harbhajan Singh

Bhaji left his physical body not as a prisoner but according to Master’s will. His life was life for the Mission and the whole world. He flourished Master’s Mission in the world and then went inside. This proves the competency of a true Gurmukh and His Master. On the plane He reached, everything is but a tale of love between the Master and His Gurmukh.

Bhaji was always concerned about Master’s health, and Master said to him:

“You are God’s doctor.”

Everyone knew how close Bhaji was to Master. To him Master gave His commandments for the Mission and for Kirpal Sagar, which he fulfilled throughout his life.

Bhaji was with Master up to His last moment, and even after Master’s departure he settled everything and cared for Master’s mortal frame. The fact that Bhaji was given this duty by Master shows that he was one with Him. But where were those who now claim to be His successor? None of them was with Master when He left His physical body. It is up to them to judge where they are standing.

Master’s Teaching which is brilliant like the sun has been reduced to a mere candle-light by those self-styled “successors”. Master is never dependent on worldly honours, whereas the self-appointed “successors” are very keen on it. After Master’s physical departure all were bribable and changed the teaching according to their own motives.

Bhaji’s wish, however, was

“Not even a single line should ever be changed,
the guideline should be strictly maintained,
and the theory really be put into practice.”

He wished the Teaching to be spread in the whole world and emphasized that the highest Power will continue to work in the same way as before. With Unity of Man the Teaching will always be exactly in accordance with the Truth and thus will attract people by itself for they will see each and everything done practically. Before Bhaji left the body, he assured that with Unity of Man the Teaching will always be fresh and clear. Spiritual Powers like Bhaji — Master’s true Gurmukh — are always with us and help us.

It had been Bhaji’s one and only wish unto Master . . .

His Mission should flourish in the whole world.

Master was very happy about it. He said, so far no one had ever requested this from Him. Bhaji asked Master to be permitted to work as a disciple (Gurmukh). Master agreed and added,

“You are my borrowed servant, but you will not be less than a Saint.”

Bhaji devoted his whole life to the Mission and made it flourish everywhere. If such a task is to be fulfilled in the world like the construction of the Sarovar with the symbols (of the religions), the one who has laid the foundation-stone has to go inside so that it can be completed. It is a law. This means that the food for the souls — all the Grace which can be obtained through Kirpal Sagar — is prepared inside. All other work outside Bhaji had either completed or had prepared its base and laid down in which way it should be accomplished.

Master has developed such a Gurmukh that Master’s name will shine brightly ages upon ages. There is only one in millions who can become such a Gurmukh.

It is all His Grace.

He is the Master who ties with Him,
He is the Master who greets first.(1)
He breaks the pot of wrath and sensual desires,
Forgives millions of sins and blesses the child.
He cuts the net of attachment,
Through His Word He blesses the child.
By meeting Him the dirt is washed away.
I sacrifice unto the Satguru again and again,
He blesses here and hereafter.
Millions of births the man lost in vain.
Darkness finished and the Light He gave.
Sun is rising and stars are twinkling within.
The bondage due to the mind He cuts.
The disciple became the mouthpiece of the Master
and His blessing He gave.
God Himself took pity on me.
He made my contact with the Gracious Master,
The Giver of happiness.
