Message from Dr Harbhajan Singh, Kirpal Sagar, August 1984
From whom shall we produce a second one,
when all hearts of men acclaim the One and only the One.
Dear brothers and sisters!
On 6th July 1974, at Rajpur Road, Dehradun, I requested Him not to take allopathic medicine, because it did not fit Him at that time. I looked into His eyes and thereafter I bowed down my head on His holy feet and He withdrew His holy feet, but immediately gave His holy arm, and I pressed it with my hand to my heart and started weeping. He told, “I am coming to your house.” He spoke one time, then a second time and a third time, and further told that He would get alright and will not take any medicine after one and half month. (6th July to 21th August is 1½ month.)
I could realize that the time of His physical help was getting over and now He wanted to give His arm to His children (direct help). He decided something beyond our love and belief. In one and half month it proved difficult for a man of heart to discern between wisdom and madness.
On 21th August 1974 I could never believe His departure. I thought it was our test. He will come back. But as the time passed by, the delay between faith and denial broke the heart.
Mansoor (a Persian saint) said:
“My life is leaving me through the eyes,
to be one with Him,
tomorrow my date is fixed with the beloved.”
( Note: Mansoor was filled with joy when at the prospect of soon being reunited with his beloved master when he learned that he was to be killed the next day. )
I being a witness of His departure could hear from His holy lips about the unending love for His children. His attention was not to become one with His Beloved (Baba Sawan Singh Ji) but His full attention was to become one with His children.
His last words were very outspoken,
“He (the Almighty Power) already worked before
and will continue to work (to uplift His children to Him).”
Because . . .
“I shall never leave thee nor forsake thee, till the end of this world.”

In 1973, He said, “Know yourself and leave others to themselves.” Here “leave others to themselves” means to leave them to Him (Kirpal). If we follow this commandment we can see the vanity of the world. There is no heart in the world that is not aware about the heart of the Father.
He who lives with life (consciousness), creates love in Him and love is a guide to the threshold of our Beloved. The Teaching of all competent Masters and that of Sant Kirpal Singh Ji reveals that — whatever exists, exists for destruction, only the lovers (souls) are immortal.
The present and the hereafter concern us to solve the riddle of riddles.
It is a time to move forward and forward and not to see left and right — even the reasoning must stay breathless.
May our every breath be dedicated to the sweet remembrance of Kirpal as we serve, serve and serve His cause.
