The purpose of human life lies with you (7:43)
From a heart-to-heart talk with Dr Harbhajan Singh in Kirpal Sagar, 9 February 1994
We have got this highest status of life that we have the discriminating power and in this very birth we can solve all these problems which we have at our disposal from ages upon ages. We can solve it right now, this is a very big preference that is at present with man.
How Sant Kirpal Singh came into the world and what He did for humanity I have put in one book, “Forever with Master 1”. Why Master left the body, how He left the body — whatever I told, I did not tell it from myself, but whatever He told, I told it and all that became true. So Master was always very exact and it will never be doubtful, rather it binds man in trust, means in the chain of love and will not let him go down or lead astray from his Path. He will help — once one comes in contact, He will help him to come back into the fold of the Master (God).
During the time of Master there were a lot of such instances which still exist in the world. They were blessed to live more in the world, whereas they could see themselves that their life was finished and there was no pending life. Master showed them within, “Now you cannot live even one breath (longer) in the world, now I give you life.”
So He is the Christ-Power, Master-Power, They are all One. To meet such a Master and to flourish the Teaching — actually, what is the problem in the world? We trust in Master. It is OK, everybody trusts God and trusts in his Isht(1) but when we forget the Teaching, this trust finishes. If we know the Teaching then this Power is already there.
Christ has not gone when he says,
“I shall never leave thee nor forsake thee
till the end of the world.”
— Hebrews 13:5
Why Christ does not help those who only trust him outwardly, not inwardly?
But those who follow the Teaching in a very exact way according to the life which He wanted from us — means, the way which He created for us, we can have a contact. What will He do?
The One who is connected with God, He will help you to contact there (with God). That is His purpose. But those who are misled and those who are living with wishes and rather destroying, and only living for their self-existence, how will the Master-Power help them?
This Christ-Power has not gone.
It is our thoughts that are not with us, our thoughts are not potent.
So this is why this Christ-Power does not help us — others. Those who become receptive, those who accept it, those who determine their life, they are always helped by that Power. So it is a time, high time to follow the true Teaching, to become receptive, to determine our life — then this Power that is already there, that is innate in our soul, will always help us.

Question: So one can have this inner contact with the God-Power even when there is no Master in the physical body?
Dr Harbhajan Singh: Yes, it is right. Because for that purpose one must have a yearning, one must be conscious and should not accept other things — and Sant Kirpal Singh did so (as an example for us).
He prayed to God, “There are a lot of so-called masters. Where should I go to know my Master? You are the Master of the whole creation, I want You! Draupadi, Prahlad, Guru Gobind Singh got You directly!”
And He had such a yearning for Him, He had a great yearning, so He got it within — when He was hardly 21 years, He got that experience, Guru Nanak came to Him and He (Sant Kirpal Singh) said, “I used to withdraw from the body-consciousness, transcending all these barriers.”
And whatever He saw, where ever He went, He saw the human beings suffering, either on the astral or on the causal plane, He saw all the souls are suffering out of their own doing, wrong doings.
He said, “There is only one preference — (to help the souls) in the physical world.” He said, “O God, I have seen this problem in the astral and the causal plane. Now I want to serve the human beings in the physical form. Because this is only a high time in the life of a soul which has attained the physical body, and I want to serve them and I want to develop them.” So did He.
He gave the practical experience to solve the riddle of life, and those who came in contact with Him and those who left the body, they even told beforehand “We are leaving” They were so happy within and left the body. So all those problems man creates he has to overcome himself, it is a law. Whether he does it here or he has to struggle with them after leaving the body — he has to do it.
A man who is conscious will always help himself and help others. By helping others he loses a lot of own problems. We overcome our own problems. Just like fire burns and helps to warm the surroundings and thereafter goes, further transmits outside so the man who lives for others, who, serves others, really overcomes his problems.
Awareness is only possible with the help of the Master Power.
